The day excursion begins at Sun Valley Sports, an authorized Orvis dealer and fly shop, where you will hook up with your Orvis-endorsed guide. Fishing licenses and any other necessary fly fishing equipment are available for purchase. A complete packed lunch is provided when reserved ahead of time. The journey begins with an hour and half drive to the trailhead where you will embark on a mile hike through the beautiful Maine woods to the Rapid River. Wildlife sighting are common along the trip, including moose, deer, fox and rabbit.
